For a quote
A STEP file and a drawing (or a PDF of the print) is enough to start. What moves a quote along fastest, beyond the geometry:
- Quantity, and whether repeat orders are likely — it changes how fixturing and programming are amortized
- Material and specification, including any vacuum or cleanliness requirement
- Inspection requirements — first article, source inspection, any documentation that has to ship with the part
- The date you actually need it
Before sending controlled technical data. If your drawings are export controlled, say so before sending them rather than after. Classification is confirmed and access is recorded before controlled data is accepted, and that sequence only works if we know first.
